QS World University Rankings: Shaping the Future of Higher Education
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS World University Rankings) has recently released world university rankings and has positioned the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, as the leading institute in India. In the ranking released on Wednesday, IIT Bombay has got the 149 rank with a score of 51.7. IIT Bombay has been followed by IIT Delhi which has got the 197 rank, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore(225), IIT Kharagpur (271); IIT Kanpur (278); IIT Madras (285); IIT Guwahati(364), IIT Roorkee(369), and University of Delhi(407).
Simultaneously, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has been ranked 48th in the QS World Rankings 2024 for the Global MBA and Business Masters category. The ranking of IIM Bangalore has improved this year from the previous year. Last year the institute was ranked 50th, and this year it has been ranked 48th. IIM Bangalore is followed by IIM Ahmedabad(53rd) and IIM Calcutta (59th).
The list of colleges has been topped by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology followed by Cambridge University, Oxford University, Harvard University, and Stanford University.
In the category of Management colleges, Stanford Graduate Business School has topped the list. The top institute has been followed by Penn(Wharton), Harvard Business School, London Business School, and HEC Paris.
