Punjab NEET UG 2023: BFUHS starts accepting applications for MBBS and BDS programs; Counselling process & more

For admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes, the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has opened the online registration period. By July 20, candidates can register online at BFUHS’ official website, bfuhs.ac.in, for admission to MBBS and BDS state quota seats. The registration cost must be paid by July 21.

NEET UG 2023 qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for Punjab NEET counselling and participate in the state counselling procedure. The Punjab NEET UG 2023 merit list will be made public after the registration period closes.

All medical and dental colleges in the state, including those affiliated with private universities and minority-serving institutions, offer combined online counselling for admission to their undergraduate programmes in both medicine and dentistry.

Process of NEET UG counselling

NEET counselling is now being handled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for UG, PG, MDS, and super speciality courses. 15% of the AIQ seats are subject to NEET counselling by the MCC. The state counselling bodies are in charge of conducting the counselling process for the remaining 85% of seats.

Step 1: First, log in or register. Candidates must log in on the official website in order to participate in Punjab NEET counselling. Candidates need to enter their registration number, password, and security code in order to log in.

step 2: After successfully logging in, proceed and select “Fill Choices.” To complete the options, applicants must choose a course, college name, reservation quota, and reservation category.

Step 3: Online payment is accepted for the Punjab NEET counselling cost. Punjab NEET 2023 counselling registration fees are refundable.

POINTs to be noted for NEET Counselling Registration

Before signing up for NEET UG counselling, medical aspirants should keep the following things in mind.

On the approved counselling website, mcc.nic.in, candidates must only submit the NEET UG counselling application form once. The websites for state counselling vary by state.

The security deposit will be lost if a student does not enrol in the designated college in the second or following rounds.

All information supplied by candidates must be accurate. Any information given by candidates during registration, including name, date of birth (DoB), category, nationality, contact information, etc., is not changed or edited by the MCC.

Guidelines for NEET counselling 2023:

New guidelines for NEET counselling 2023 were recently released by the National Medical Commission (NMC). According to the updated norms, common counselling would be used for admission to MBBS and other undergraduate medical programmes at all medical schools in India. The NEET UG merit list 2023 will serve as the foundation for the NEET UG counselling 2023.

For both NEET All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota counselling, a uniform platform was proposed under the Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, or GMER 2023. Candidates must have reached the age of 17 by January 31 for MBBS admission or have met the NEET age requirements. The deadline was previously December 31.
