OSSC JE Civil Main Exam 2023 Cancelled Due to Paper Leak; New Exam on September 3

After the police verified the question paper leak, the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) decided to cancel the junior engineer (JE) civil major written test. On July 16, the OSSC JE Civil Main test 2023 was held.
According to a recent notification from the commission, the OSSC JE exam has been cancelled in light of the Balasore Superintendent of Police’s findings.
The primary written test for JE (Civil) that was administered on July 16, 2023 as part of the Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination 2022 has been cancelled, according to the Odisha Staff Selection Commission. On September 3, a new Odisha JE civil Main test will be held, according to the announcement.
At a news conference on Sunday, Balasore, Superintendent of Police Sagarika Nath, acknowledged the event involving the question paper leak. “The question papers that were confiscated before the exam match the original question sheets.
There should be no doubt that the question papers for the major written exam were leaked before the examination, the SP stated, adding that we have alerted OSSC of this.
According to the article, at least nine people have been detained in connection with the paper leak investigation. The scam’s mastermind, who is from outside the state, has been located.
In an effort to catch the mastermind, the apprehended suspects admitted that they were middlemen and that the candidates had been requested to give between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, according to Nath, who was reported by the PTI.
