Odisha OSSC 2023: Question paper leaked for accountants’ preliminary exam

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) held a recruitment exam, and over 50 candidates skipped it because they claimed the question paper had been leaked.

The applicants who were taking the preliminary exam for accountants at the Bhadrak Autonomous College on Sunday said that the envelope containing the question paper’s seal had been broken far earlier than the allotted hour.

They then staged a protest outside the testing center and boycotted the exam.

As per reported by Carrer 360, Bhadrak’s sub-collector Manoj Patra said the allegation was baseless. The examinees who made the allegation did not sit for the examination despite a “verification” by the district administration, another officer said.

Odisha Staff Selection Commission was established in 1994 with the responsibility of conducting and regulating the recruitment examination in accordance with OSSC Rules, 1993.

This was done in order to meet the needs of the staff/employees of various departments of the government, as well as the Heads of Department, and the ever-increasing number of candidates who were appearing for the competitive examinations.

The duties of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission have periodically been expanded, and they now include the power to conduct recruitment exams and recommend qualified candidates for general, technical, and non-technical group-B and C (non-gazetted) service positions with the state government’s departments and for Heads of Department positions.
