The National Pension System Trust released the advertisement for recruitment of Manager (Grade B) and Assistant Manager (Grade A) on January 16, 2025. Individuals who are interested in being appointed to this position can submit their application form on or before February 05, 2025.

Vacancy

The number of vacancies for recruitment of Manager (Grade B) and Assistant Manager (Grade A) under the NPS Trust is disclosed with the release of notification. There are a total number of 19 vacancies, you may check the category-wise number of vacancies by going through the tabulated data.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for recruitment of  Manager (Grade B) and Assistant Manager (Grade A) under the  National Pension System Trust is available below in terms of educational institutions, age limit and experience.

Grade B (Manager)

1. General Stream:
   • Educational Qualification: Post-Graduation in any discipline or CA/CFA/CS/FRM/CMA/MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/PGDM.
   • Age Limit: 25 to 33 years.
   • Experience: 4 years in officer cadre in pensions, finance, law, or related fields.
2. Human Resource Stream:
   • Educational Qualification: MBA/Master’s degree/PG Diploma (2 years) in HR or Personnel Management.
   • Age Limit: 25 to 33 years.
   • Experience: 4 years in officer cadre handling HR functions, preferably in Govt./Public Sector.
3. Risk Management Stream:
   • Educational Qualification: Post-Graduation in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or related fields; or CA/CFA/FRM/CMA/MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/PGDM.
   • Age Limit: 25 to 33 years.
   • Experience: 4 years in risk/treasury/investment management.

Grade A (Assistant Manager)

1. General Stream:
   • Educational Qualification: Graduation/Post-Graduation in any discipline or CA/CFA/CS/FRM/CMA/MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/PGDM.
   • Age Limit: 21 to 30 years.
   • Experience: None.
2. Risk Management Stream:
   • Educational Qualification: Post-Graduation in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or related fields; or CA/CFA/FRM/CMA/MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/PGDM.
   • Age Limit: 21 to 30 years.
   • Experience: 2 years in risk/treasury/investment management.

Application Fee

In order to apply for the NPS Trust Recruitment 2025, a male candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS is required to pay the application fee of ₹1,000/- using the debit card or any other provided payment gateway. Female aspirants, PwBD and male individuals who belong to SC and ST are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

Selection Process 

The selection process for recruitment of  Manager (Grade B) and Assistant Manager (Grade A) under the NPS Trust consists three stages, which are as follows:

Stage 1: Phase I Examination

• Mode: Online
• Duration: 90 Minutes
• Total Questions: 120
• Maximum Marks: 120 marks
• Question Type: Objective
• Marking Scheme:
  • Correct Answer: +1 mark.
  • Incorrect Answer: -1/4th mark deduction.
• Sections:
  • General Stream:
    • English Language: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Reasoning & Analytical Skills: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Companies Act, Economics, Pension Sector: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • General Awareness (including Financial Sector): 20 marks (20 questions).
  • Risk Management & Human Resource Streams:
    • English Language: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Reasoning & Analytical Skills: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Specialized Subject: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 marks (25 questions).
    • General Awareness (including Financial Sector): 20 marks (20 questions).
• Medium: English and Hindi (except English Language section).

Stage 2: Phase II Examination

  • Paper 1: 60 Minutes
  • Paper 2: 40 Minutes

  • Correct Answer: +1 mark.
  • Incorrect Answer: -1/4th mark deduction.
• Medium: English and Hindi (except Descriptive Test in Paper 1, which is in English only).

Stage 3: Interview

• Mode: Offline
• Duration: 15 to 30 Minutes
• Medium: English & Hindi

The Phase 1 Examination is qualifying, the selection list for appointment will be prepared on the basis of individuals’ performance in Phase 2 Examination and Interview with the weightage of 50:50.

Pay Scale

The payment scale for the position of  Manager (Grade B) and Assistant Manager (Grade A) under the NPS Trust is available below.

• Grade B (Manager): ₹55,200 – ₹2,850 (for 9 years) – ₹80,850 – EB – ₹2,850 (for 2 years) – ₹86,550 – ₹3,300 (for 4 years) – ₹99,750 (after 16 years).
• Grade A (Assistant Manager): ₹44,500 – ₹2,500 (for 4 years) – ₹54,500 – ₹2,850 (for 7 years) – ₹74,450 – EB – ₹2,850 (for 4 years) – ₹85,850 – ₹3,300 (for 1 year) – ₹89,150 (after 17 years).

Additionally, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance and other benefits will be provided.
