NIT Jalandhar Introduces Certificate Courses as Part of PMKVY — Skill Hub Initiative Scheme

Under the Computer Science and Engineering Department, registration is now open for the Web Developer course and the Domestic Data Entry Operator course is now in session. The deadline for Web Developer (Offline mode) registration is September 30, 2023.
The course will give students with the technical abilities needed for software design, the necessary knowledge to create applications for health, safety, and information management, as well as the ability to create media, content, and graphics.
The continuous data entry course teaches the fundamentals of computer hardware and software architecture and gives students a fundamental grasp of data and data management systems, tools, and applications, as well as the intranet and its more complex uses. The students will benefit from projects for data processing, analysis, and information representation as well as the development of soft skills and presenting abilities.
“Advances in Biomaterials and Nanotechnology for Biomedical Applications” is the subject of a self-sponsored online 2nd STC/FDP.
NIT From September 28 to October 2, 2023, Jalandhar will also host a self-sponsored online 2nd STC/FDP on “Advances in Biomaterials and Nanotechnology for Biomedical Applications”.
The training is intended for academic staff from various universities, researchers, business professionals, scientists, and engineers working for R&D organisations. PhD candidates and students can apply for the course.
To familiarise researchers, professors, and engineers from academia and industry with manufacturing methods for tissue engineering applications and the creation of drug delivery systems, a programme is being put up for them. The combination of various production technologies and a deeper understanding of them might advance our cause because these fields are multidisciplinary. The suggested plan is planned to give participants the best environment for learning and networking for their continued work in these sectors.
What is a Skill Hub?
Skill Hubs are nodal skill centres that have been identified to offer opportunities for skill development and vocational training to target population segments from class 6th through 8th (initiation into the working world through orientation, industry visits, and bag-less days), 9th through 12th (aimed at exposing students to skill development avenues), and school dropouts and out-of-education (aimed for academic credit, mainstreaming back to education, and/or apprenticeship and employment linkages). These Skill Hubs will eventually form partnerships with nearby education and training facilities (spokes) in a district or a group of nearby districts to offer access to skill development training either at the hub location or at the spoke location.
For its candidates who are in school, drop outs, and out of education in the 15-29 age range, these nearby institutions may benefit from the infrastructure and resources offered by the related Hub.
