NIT Calicut Extends the Deadline to Apply for PhD Winter Semester Admissions 2023-2024. Check the details here

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut has made an important announcement for the students. The institute has extended the last date to apply for PhD Winter Semester Admissions 2023-2024. 

Earlier the last date to submit the application was 3^rd November 2023. The last date is extended to 8^th November 2023. The NIT Calicut will conduct a national level entrance exam for PhD. The final selection of the candidates will depend on the marks scored in entrance test. It will also depend on passing the selection criteria conducted by relevant departments. Some of the credentials required for selection is given below-

• Candidates must pass national level entrance exam.
• Candidates must score 60% marks in their Bachelor’s degree (CGPA 6.0/10). For candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD category the minimum need is 55% (CGPA 5.0/10). 
• Candidates who pursued B. Arch, B. Plan, B.Tech through lateral entry must have completed 3 years diploma in engineering. The minimum marks requirement is 60 % (CGPA 6.0/10) for unreserved candidates. For SC, ST, PwD candidates minimum requirement is 55% (CGPA 5.0/10). 
• AMIE (AICTE approved) holders can also apply for the course.
• Candidates possess other degrees equivalent to B. Tech, B. Plan, B. Arch are also eligible for admission.

How to Apply

You need to follow the following steps to apply for PhD Winter Semester Admissions 2023-2024-

• You need to apply through https://dss.nitc.ac.in/mtechapp/phd/frmLogin.aspx .
• Now register with your mobile number and e mail id to create login credential.
• Now login to access the application form.
• Fill in the information. 
• Now upload the documents required.
• Deposit the application fee with State Bank Collect. 
• Take the printout of application form for further reference.

Note- The application fee is Rs 1000 for General, OBC, EWS, PwD candidates. For SC, ST candidates the application fee is Rs 500.
