NEET UG counselling 2023: Registration will begin in two days; quota, counselling, seats, choice filling process

In two days, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start the undergraduate National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) counselling registration process. The MCC NEET UG counselling 2023 application form will be available on the official website, mcc.nic.in, from July 20 in accordance with the timetable that was previously released.

Candidates who passed the NEET UG 2023 exam and intend to enroll in MBBS, BDS, or other medical programmes must attend counselling in order to advance in the selection process.

NEET UG choice filling
To be eligible for seat allocation, applicants must finish the NEET UG choice filling and make payment after registering. The MCC will first create a provisional NEET UG counselling merit list based on the student’s choices of colleges.
Candidates to note that Non- Refundable registration counseling fees and refundable tuition fees have to be paid by the candidate at the time of registration.

Seats for MCC NEET UG Counselling

The NEET counselling for the following seats will be conducted in 2023 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

  1. All-India quota (AIQ) seats of 15%.
  2. Institutional quota for internal candidates at central universities

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
University of Delhi (DU)
Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi
Wards of ESIC insured persons seats in universities, and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.

  1. In the 15% All India Quota seats for NEET UG counselling, candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be able to participate.
  2. The percentage of seats reserved for people with disabilities (PH Category) has been raised from 3% to 5%, and the 21 Benchmark Disabilities as defined by “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016” rules are now included in the PH category. Please visit www.mcc.nic.in/www.mccnews.in for a list of the 21 benchmark intellectual disabilities.
  3. Candidates must verify their eligibility and domicile status at mcc.nic.in for institutional quota seats at central universities, JIPMER, prior to registering for the NEET seat distribution process.

UG Counselling:

  • 15% All India Quota seats MBBS/ BDS Seats of States (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats),
  • 100%MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU,
  • 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India,
  • 100% JIPMER seats (Puducherry/ Karaikal),
  • 100% AMU
  • 85% of State Quota seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental),
  • 100% -Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) along with 5% internal Quota of Jamia students
  • 15% IP quota seats of ESIC.

How to complete the choice form during NEET UG counselling

Before beginning the choice-filling procedure, the MCC urged the students to review the counselling process. Before attempting to fill up online options, “a provisional list may be established first according to your preferred universities. Before registering, candidates are urged to carefully read and comprehend the candidate user handbook.

Candidates must fill out the website’s registration form with their basic information, then log in using their generated credentials.
Check the list of medical colleges, seats, and courses that are currently available.
Choose and rank the MBBS schools and courses that you desire.
Lock the decisions made prior to the deadline.
