For the 2023 National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is reopening the reporting site as a “one-time measure” for the first round.

The portal will be accessible tomorrow, August 9, until 3 p.m. After hearing requests from various universities that admitted assigned students in person rather than online, the commission made its decision.

The committee mentioned in the official statement, “Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS is in receipt of requests from some colleges who have taken ‘Offline’ admissions of allotted candidates for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2023 in spite of the time provided for verification on 5th & 6th August, 2023. In larger interest of the candidates, MCC is re-opening the Reporting portal for Round-1 as a one time measure.”

Colleges can finish the process tomorrow if they haven’t taken admission online and entered the information of accepted candidates. The second round of registration will start tomorrow in accordance with the plan.

The round one seat allocation results for the NEET UG counselling schedule 2023 were released on July 29. Between July 31 and August 4, candidates were allowed to report to the colleges.

Between August 5 and August 6, colleges were allowed to confirm the information of joined candidates and share it with MCC.

Further, it added, “MCC stated that no further extension will be granted and advised colleges to stick to the timeline. “Any request for extending the time further will not be entertained by MCC. Colleges/ Institutes are directed to stick to time schedule and follow timelines stringently in future,”
