The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 is one of the most awaited exams for medical aspirants in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the tentative exam date, while major updates in the syllabus & exam pattern are expected.

📌 Exam Date (Tentative): May 2025
📌 Registration Start Date: December 2024 – January 2025

📢 Will NEET 2025 Be Conducted Twice?

  • As of now, NEET will remain a single-day exam.
  • However, NMC is considering conducting NEET twice a year like JEE, but no official confirmation yet.

🔹 Major Changes in NEET 2025 Syllabus

NTA will soon release the official revised syllabus to align with the updated CBSE NCERT textbooks.

Expected Syllabus Changes:

📌 Some removed topics from Physics, Chemistry & Biology to reduce burden.
📌 More focus on competency-based & real-world application questions.
📌 Assertion-Reasoning & case-based questions in Biology & Physics.

📌 Total Questions: 200 (Students need to attempt 180)
📌 Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology)
📌 Each Subject: 2 Sections

  • Section A (35 MCQs) – All compulsory
  • Section B (15 MCQs) – Attempt any 10

New Marking Scheme (Expected)

📌 +4 marks for every correct answer
📌 -1 negative marking for wrong answers
📌 More weightage to application-based questions

📢 Time Limit: 3 Hours 20 Minutes (Increased from 3 Hours)
