Nagaland board Rescheduled Class 12 Mid-Term Exam; Exams To Conduct By September 20

The Class 12 midterm exams have been rescheduled by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). Schools who were unable to hold the Class 12 midterm exams in 2023 have been ordered to do so by September 20 and turn in the results by September 30.
In a statement announcing the change in the dates for the Class 12th NBSE midterm exams, the NBSE stated: “In view of the surge in Eye Flu or Conjunctivitis among school students in certain districts of the State, the concerned District Administration have ordered closure of schools from 21 to 26 as a measure to contain or break the chain of transmission of the flu.”
From August 21 to August 30, the Class 12 midterm exams were scheduled to take place. The choice to postpone the Class 12 midterm exams was made after the Nagaland board of education decided to close the schools in an effort to stop the spread of eye fever among the student body.
According to the PTI, the state has registered 1,006 instances of eye flu since July 1. With 721, Dimapur has recorded the most cases, followed by Kohima (198) and Mokokchung (87).
The board added that certain districts’ inability to hold the Class 12 Mid Term Examination scheduled from August 21 to August 30 as planned is a result of the closure of schools. As a result, the board said: “Therefore, those schools who could not hold the Class 12 Mid Term Examination within the date given in the Academic Calendar are hereby allowed to reschedule the Class 12 Mid Term Examination and conduct it within the 20th September 2023, and the results of which can be submitted to the Board on
