M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry Students Visit National Fertilizers Limited, Panipat
Aligarh : Final-year students of M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry from the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), visited National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Panipat, as part of their academic curriculum. The visit provided them with valuable exposure to fertilizer production processes, adding to their practical understanding of industrial operations.
The students, accompanied by Dr. Farasha Sama and Dr. Rizwan Hussain, explored various aspects of fertilizer manufacturing, including urea production, packaging, and quality control techniques. The hands-on experience deepened their understanding of large-scale industrial processes.
Dr. Mohammad Zain Khan, Training and Placement Officer, highlighted the role of industrial visits in connecting theory with practice. He congratulated the students on their industry exposure and provided an overview of NFL Panipat, established in 1979 with a urea production capacity of 511,500 metric tons, now expanded to include Bentonite Sulphur.
Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami, Chairman, Department of Industrial Chemistry, commended the students on successfully completing the visit and encouraged them to apply their learning in future academic and professional endeavors.
