Life Imprisonment and 10 Crore Fine proposed in the Bill Passed by Jharkhand Assembly to restrict Cheating in Competitive Examination
Jharkhand government is aiming to make the tremendous change which has been the biggest problem in the history of competitive examinations in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Competitive Examination (Prevention and Redressal of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill, 2023 was passed on Thursday august 3, 2023. The bill proposes strict, non-bailable and non-compoundable. The bill was considered in the Jharkhand Assembly, and passed by the MLA’s, though BJP MLA’s opposed the proposal and called it “DRACONIAN”. The bill proposes certain laws and severe punishments against the students or candidates using unfair means.
Any kind of piracy or plagiarism will not be accepted. Students should in no case cheat in the competitive examination. The candidates found cheating will be liable to punishments such as paying a penalty of Rs. 10 Cr, and jail of around 10 years or life time imprisonment. This will be considered as non-bailable and non-compoundable offence in the court of justice.
Earlier in the history of state government exams of Jharkhand this was the biggest fury. Most of the times exams used to be cancelled due to cheating, leaking of question papers and other unfair means being used. Due to these reasons the meritorious students had to suffer. This step will hopefully make a great difference in the life of students.
