Junior Resident honoured with Prof. T.N. Krishnan Award


Aligarh : Dr. Absar Ahmad, a Junior Resident in the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been honoured with the Prof. T.N. Krishnan Award at the 12th Annual Conference of the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA). Held on January 22-23, at the India International Centre, New Delhi, the award recognizes early-career researchers and was presented for Dr. Ahmad’s outstanding research paper, judged best among six finalists from leading institutions.
His study, explored the reliability and validity of the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) in rural Aligarh’s Jawan block. Prof. Uzma Eram, Chairperson, congratulated Dr. Ahmad on this achievement, which highlights AMU’s contributions to health economics research.
