Jharkhand to introduce Chief Minister Fellowships for PhDs and Other programmes at top 100 Universities


According to state chief minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand government would introduce a Chief Minister Fellowship programme for students. Students will get financial aid through the fellowship programme to pursue graduate studies, including a PhD, at the top 100 universities worldwide.
As part of the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship and Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship selection ceremony for the academic year 2023–2024, CM Soren was present.
“The Chief Minister Fellowship Programme initiative for the state’s promising youth is about to be introduced by the state administration. In accordance with which financial aid would be provided for additional studies, including PhDs, at the top 100 universities worldwide,” CM stated in a tweet.
“Our government is running programmes for the young of Jharkhand at every level. State advancement is dependent upon the hardworking young of the nation.
The chief minister continued, “I am making every effort to rebuild the foundation of the state. Soren continued by saying that in addition to assisting students with their academic work, the government will also work with them if they wish to contribute to the growth of the nation.
Officials from the state education department and the British High Commission attended the ceremony. These two scholarships are now available from the state for students who wish to pursue higher education in the UK.
Under the Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship, Jharkhand has partnered with the foreign, commonwealth and development office, UK to provide for up to 5 students to pursue a one-year year master’s degree programme in the UK.
