Lakhs of students preparing for JEE Main 2025 must take note! The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the tentative exam dates, along with a new syllabus structure and exam pattern changes.

This year’s JEE Main will see:
Reduction in syllabus as per CBSE’s latest curriculum 📚

🔹 JEE Main 2025 Exam Dates Announced

JEE Main 2025 will be held in two sessions, allowing students to improve their scores.

📌 Session 1: January 2025
📌 Session 2: April 2025

📢 Why Two Sessions?

  • Students can re-attempt the exam if they are unhappy with their January attempt.
  • Best score among both attempts will be considered for JEE Advanced & college admissions.

🔹 Major Changes in JEE Main 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus will be updated to align with CBSE’s new reduced Class 11 & 12 curriculum.

Key Syllabus Updates (Expected):

📌 Some topics from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics will be removed.
📌 Case-based, real-world application questions will be increased.
📌 More analytical and reasoning-based questions.

📢 NTA will release the official updated syllabus soon. Students are advised to focus on conceptual clarity rather than rote memorization.


🔹 New Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

📌 Paper 1 (B.Tech/B.E.):

  • Total Questions: 90 (Students need to attempt 75)
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
  • Type of Questions:
    • 60 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
    • 30 Numerical-based Questions (5 to be attempted per subject)

📌 Paper 2 (B.Arch & B.Planning):

  • Includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing/Planning-Based Questions.

Marking Scheme Changes

📌 Negative Marking in Both MCQs & Numerical Questions

  • Unlike previous years, numerical-type questions will now also have negative marking.
  • Partial marking might be introduced for multi-correct MCQs.
