Jamia Millia Islamia Approves Renewal of Hostels To Its Students
Soon, the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will begin the process of renewing and allocating new hostels to its students.
The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will shortly begin the process of renovating and allocating new hostels to its students. The JMI Vice-Chancellor, Najma Akhtar, has given her approval for all of the university’s male and female dorms to open. After switching to online classrooms during the epidemic, the institution already closed the dorms. The administration claimed the reason for the hostels’ continued closure as repair and construction work, nevertheless.
The Vice-Chancellor made the announcement to immediately assign those hostels to students where the restoration work has been finished during a meeting with the Deans of Faculties held on November 2. With a total capacity of 4,000 students, JMI provides numerous hostels for both male and female students.
“The Vice-Chancellor, JMI, has approved that the opening process of all the boys’ and girls’ dormitories where the repair work has been finished be commenced immediately as discussed in the meeting of Deans of Faculties held on November 2, 2022,” according to the university’s announcement.
In order for students to enjoy the hostel amenities following winter break, the Provosts of the Hall of Boys’ and Girls’ Residences are hereby requested to begin the renewal/new allotment process in a time-bound manner
