JAM 2024: Brochure for the year is out, consisting of test papers, admission programmes; Check details

The Indian institute of technology (IIT) Madras has issued the Brochure of the JAM (Joint Admission Test for Master), 2024. The brochure contains the details regarding test papers, admission programmes, and details about the colleges. The interested students must check out the details regarding the preperations for the exams.
The students interested in pursuing Masters in science can go through and learn more about the subjects and the programmes being provided in the colleges preferred by the students. The brochure for JAM 2024, is available on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in.
JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters) is a test for students willing to pursue MSc, MSc (Technology), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (R), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc- PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD from various institutes.
Eligibility criteria for JAM:
· The students must qualify Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM).
· Fulfil the eligibility criteria
· Fulfil the minimum educational qualification for the respective programmes.
· Candidates who have either completed or will be appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2024.
Joint admission test for masters, IIT JAM will be conducted on February 11 according to the brochure. Exam will take place for seven different subjects, biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), economics (EN), geology (GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS) and physics (PH).
IIT JAM 2024 questions will be categorised in three parts.
- The first part will consist of MCQ’s (multiple choice questions)
- The second part will be MSQ’s (multiple select questions)
- The third part will be NAT (Numerical answer type questions).
There are approximately 3000 seats in IITs in the academic year 2024-25. No additional test such as interview is required for the admission to the programmes in institutes under JAM 2024. The scores from the JAM 2024 exam will be utilized for securing admission to more than 2,000 seats at IISc and for the counseling process conducted via CCMN, as stated.
