ISRO Recruitment Scam: Two Men From Haryana Detained For Cheating In Recruiting Technical Staff For Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC)

The ISRO conducted a test to hire technical workers at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), and two individuals from Haryana were detained here for allegedly cheating. According to a senior police officer, they were apprehended at two distinct testing locations while attempting to answer the test questions unfairly. The officer claimed that the two were additionally mimicking the real candidates.

Late Sunday night, he claimed, the arrest was legally documented. The officer stated that in addition to them, four other people from the northern state were also in arrest in relation to the incident and that whether they took the test or not was under investigation.

He stated, “They are currently being questioned. According to the police, a complaint has been filed against them under the IPC’s Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), and numerous other provisions as well as the Information Technology Act.

According to the police, the candidates who were apprehended were utilising their mobile phones’ cameras to capture images of the questions and send them to a different location where they received the answers using Bluetooth devices inserted into their ears.

Additionally, it stated that the two were apprehended as a result of information obtained from an anonymous caller in Haryana. Only 10 exam locations throughout Kerala hosted the national-level recruiting test, according to the police.

The officer stated that the two people who were detained would also be booked for impersonating legitimate candidates. According to the police, they have notified VSSC that a case has been filed in connection with the event, and it is up to them to determine whether or not to cancel the exam.

It further stated that the involvement of other parties, such as coaching centers, was also being looked into.

Using Bluetooth devices during the test:

According to the police, the candidates who were apprehended were using their mobile phones’ cameras to capture images of the questions and send them to a different location, where they received the answers using Bluetooth devices placed in their ears. Additionally, it stated that the two were apprehended as a result of information obtained from an anonymous caller in Haryana.

As to the report, these two people were detained as a result of information obtained from a caller who wished to remain anonymous and was calling from Haryana.

Notably, Kerala was the only state to host the 10 exam centres for the national-level recruitment test, which was held there.
