The visit of the students from the Institute of Legal Studies to +2 High school, Boreya, Ranchi during the legal aid competition was a commendable effort to promote legal awareness and educate the students about the significance of legal aid.

Usha Pandey, Garima Pandey, Kumar Raushan, and , as representatives from the Institute of Legal Studies, took on the responsibility to convey the message of legal aid to the students of KGBV. Their participation in the legal aid competition showcased their dedication to social causes and their passion for making a positive impact in the community.

During the event, Usha, Raushan, and Garima delivered a well-structured and engaging presentation on legal aid. They emphasized the importance of legal aid in ensuring access to justice for all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic background. They highlighted that legal aid is not only a fundamental right but also a crucial means of safeguarding the rights and interests of vulnerable and marginalized sections of society.

Through real-life examples and case studies, they demonstrated how legal aid has played a pivotal role in resolving various legal issues faced by disadvantaged communities. They highlighted instances where legal aid had provided assistance in matters such as domestic violence, land disputes, labor rights, and protection of child rights. By showcasing these examples, they aimed to inspire the students of KGBV to recognize the impact that legal aid can have in improving lives and bringing about positive social change.

Moreover, the students explained the procedure to receive legal aid to ensure that their audience had a clear understanding of the steps involved. They described how individuals in need of legal aid should approach the nearest Legal Services Authority or legal aid clinic. They explained the process of initial assessment, where eligibility for legal aid is determined based on income and other criteria. If eligible, individuals can access free or subsidized legal services, including legal representation and counseling.

Garima, Kumar, and Usha made their presentation interactive by encouraging questions and discussions from the students of KGBV. They addressed queries and concerns, fostering a friendly and approachable environment to ensure that the students felt comfortable seeking further information about legal aid.

The legal aid competition not only served as a platform for the students of the Institute of Legal Studies to showcase their knowledge and advocacy skills but also facilitated meaningful dialogue and awareness-building at +2 High school, Boreya, Ranchi.
