Indian student dies in Canada after being beaten during a carjacking

According to media sources, a 24-year-old Indian student who worked as a food delivery partner in Canada was slain after being viciously abused during a tragic carjacking.
On July 9, at around 2:10 am, Gurvinder Nath was delivering pizza near Britannia and Creditview roads in Mississauga when he was confronted by unknown individuals who attempted to take his car, according to a local television station.
Inspector Phil King of Peel Regional Police’s Homicide Bureau stated that investigators “do believe that there are multiple suspects involved and that the food order was placed as a means of luring the driver to this particular area.
In addition, investigators have obtained an audio recording of the Pizza Pizza order placed prior to the attack. Police said that once Nath arrived, a suspect “violently assaulted” him, seriously injured him, stole his car, and departed the area.
Numerous witnesses went to his aid and made emergency calls before Nath was taken to a trauma facility and declared dead on July 14. According to a local media outlet, Siddhartha Nath, the Indian consul general in Toronto, described Nath’s passing as a “heartrending loss” and offered his condolences to Nath’s family, friends, and the larger community.
He claimed that following his passing, the consulate general called his family. The community’s response and physical and online unity to support the family at this difficult time was heartening to witness, the consul general remarked.
There is no known relationship between Nath and his assailants, according to the authorities. Regardless of your level of involvement, you are complicit in the murder of Gurvinder Nath and you will be caught and charged accordingly, King declared to the participants. On July 27, with assistance from the Indian Consulate General in Toronto, Nath’s body would be flown to India.
