India and UAE Mark a Significant Step Towards Education: MoU is Signed to Strengthen educational ties

On November 1st, 2023 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between India and UAE.Honourable Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan had a fruitful meeting with the Education Minister of UAE Mr. Ahmad Belhoul. The MoU signed by them is a significant accomplishment for both. This step has enhanced the educational ties between the countries.
The MoU encircles various aspects of education. This advancement has also been marked as a breakthrough in the bilateral relations between UAE and India.
MoU Signing Ceremony
Where the UAE is a global economic hotspot, India is a global talent hotspot. With the ongoing signing ceremony, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his gratitude by adding, “I and he, Dr. Ahmad Belhoul were glad to be the signatories of the MoU on behalf of our two countries.”
The two leaders had discussions about skill development and cooperation in the field of education. It is two steps forward towards India’s vision of NEP 2020.
The key features of MoU signing between the countries are as follows:
- Enhance student and faculty mobility.
- Mutual recognition of qualification.
- Creation of a joint working group.
- Academic collaborations between higher education institutions for offering twinning, dual degrees, and joint degree programs.
- Capacity development of TVET teaching staff.
IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Tour
Our honorable education minister of India took a tour of IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi at the Zayed University. He even interacted with the faculty and students of Abu Dhabi Indian School.
He added “He is happy with the progress. This campus is a significant stride in our efforts to internationalize India’s education. It would open 100s of opportunities for mutual prosperity and global well-being.”
India is delighted to see support for schools that follow India’s curriculum in UAE. Both India and UAE have agreed to strengthen their knowledge bridge. This friendship is deeply appreciated.
A Visit to 42 Abu Dhabi
On a visit to 42 Abu Dhabi, a coding school, the education ministry mentioned the cutting-edge coding skills of students. The school focuses on technological skills and prepares students for the future workforce.
Our Union education minister met HE Sara Musallam. She is MoS for Early Education and Chairperson, ADEK in Abu Dhabi.They had productive conversations about the expansion of the education system. And standing together as a strong pillar in the future. Our administrators in UAE were also praised.Their diligence, honesty, and hardworking nature was well admired. The discussions were further held about carrying forward this multi-faceted partnership.
