IMD alert: Delhi school to remain closed till class 5 amid heavy rainfall today

Delhi Government declared a holiday for primary schools in Delhi as the national capital expected heavy rainfall today, 11 July. However, the Directorate of Education issued a circular, saying, from class 6 onwards and staff shall attend on usual class.
The circular also says, that all schools under the Municipal Crporation of Delhi (MCD) will also be remained closed for today.
The decision was taken in the view of student safety and an alert was raised by Indian Metrological Department (IMD) looking up to the dire weather conditions of the national capital.
On July 9, Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi declared a holiday for all schools for July 10.
