IIT Jammu’s Triumph: Unveils 5G Use Case Lab with Live Stream on OCT 27th

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has secured a remarkable milestone by unveiling a prestigious 5G use case lab.
This exclusive live broadcast on 27th October will signify Indians’ commitment to becoming a leader in 5G technology, with IIT Jammu as the carrier.
IIT Jammu’s 5G Milestone:
IIT Jammu got the opportunity to establish a 5G use lab on their campus. This comes to light under the “100 5G use case lab” scheme which is funded by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the government of India.
It was all possible due to the dedicated team of IIT Jammu, which consists of Dr. Ankur Bansal, Dr. Samaresh Bera, Dr. Ankit Dubey, Dr. Saurav Kushmanda, Dr Ajay Singh, Dr Ravikant Saini, and Dr Sudhakar Modem.
Exclusive live broadcast of the event:
On 27th October 2023, 9 am onwards, an exclusive live broadcast will be streamed by IIT Jammu with the presence of hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The stream will be broadcast from the institute’s lecture hall from 1-04.
A Glimpse into the Future:
The event will be a platform for sharing insight , to inspire UG and PG level projects using the 5G environment. To create an India which is suitable for academia and the startup ecosystem as well as ready for 6G in future.
In this scheme the beneficiary will be provided with a 5G lab and equipment which will include 5G SA infrastructure (mid band), 5G sims, dongles, IoT gateway, Router and application server.
