Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has organized a three-day workshop on “Transformative Leadership in STEMM” for advanced Ph.D. Scholars from the SC/ST community. The key objective of this workshop is to provide proper mentoring for research, teaching, and leadership.
The expected date for the workshop is between 7th to 9th December 2023. The deadline for the application submission is 10 November 2023 and the selection notification will be sent on 18 November 2023.
The official notice stated, “Applications are invited for the inaugural TLS workshop, this three-day workshop will provide mentoring for research, teaching, and leadership. Selected students will present their research work to experts and peers.”
Who Can Apply for the Workshop
- The TLS workshop is specially designed for the Ph.D. students belonging to the SC/ST category enrolled at any of the IITs, NITs, and other HEIs in their third year of Ph.D.
- As this is the inaugural edition of the workshop, applications are open only for the mentioned areas: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
- The selection of candidates is based on seniority, good academic potential, and the quality of the research paper.
- Also, the University has informed that the participation of female candidates is highly encouraged to apply.
To apply for the Transformative Leadership in STEMM, the following are papers you need to submit:
- Abstract of You research paper.
- Letter of Interest.
- An updated copy of your CV.
- Along with a recommendation letter from the supervisor of your concerned institution.
The required documents need to be emailed as a single PDF file to the mentioned email address: tlsworkshop.iitd@gmail.com.
IIT Delhi has informed that IIT Delhi will cover the Travelling expenses as well as the local hospitality of the selected candidates.
Transformative Leadership in STEMM (TLS)
This three-day TLS workshop will provide mentoring for research, teaching, and leadership to the selected candidates. The candidates will present their research work to the experts and peers of the institution. They will even receive feedback and mentoring from the experts themselves.
The workshop will also have sessions dedicated to building teaching skills, facing job interviews, presentation skills, confidence building, and networking skills interactions with experts, Deans, and Directors of IITs.
The main purpose of this workshop is to encourage and strengthen the Ph.D. Scholars are to apply for faculty positions at IITs and other HEIs.
