Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal on Sunday organised its maiden “Open House” through Centre for Science and Society (CS2) to provide a platform for high school and college students, teachers, parents, and industries to experience teaching and research at the Institute.
About Open House
The Institute, through its Centre for Science and Society (CS ), is organising its maiden “Open House” to provide a platform for high school and college students, teachers, parents, and industries to experience cutting-edge teaching and research at IISER Bhopal.
Open House is a one-day event aimed at providing an opportunity to visit the IISER Bhopal campus and get an insight into the ongoing innovative research as well as the numerous advanced laboratories and facilities available at IISER Bhopal.
This is an “Open for all” platform, where IISERB showcases its science and research prowess to the visiting public through live experiments, scientific demonstrations, lectures, and exhibitions. This exposure is supplemented with critical perspectives from Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, there are fun activities through which the participants can interact with faculty and student researchers. We welcome you to experience the excitement of research and innovation at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal).
Various departments of IISER Bhopal organised tours to research and teaching facilities such as central instrument facility (CIF), Multimedia classrooms, museum, and central library for visiting school and college students. In addition to this, pre-recorded talks organised by IISER Bhopal faculty members and competitions like quizzes, open mic, and interactive sessions were organised for students and visitors, it added.
