The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has released the first round seat allocation 2023 result for admission to all postgraduate (PG) diploma courses for the academic year 2023–2024. On the official website, iimc.admissions.nic.in, candidates who took the entrance exam in 2023 and finished the choice-filling process can view the IIMC seat allocation in 2023.

IIMC says, “The choices finally submitted and locked by the candidates or auto locked by system, will be processed in order of rank and candidate’s preferences as per approved seat allotment algorithm and seats are allotted in the order of merit as per All India Rank (AIR) and also on the basis of applicable reservation criteria.”

All India Rank (AIR) holders who passed the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduates (CUET PG 2023) were given consideration for admission. The opening and closing ranks will also be posted on the institute’s website.

What happens after the 2023 IIMC seat allocation

After the seat allocation, candidates must complete the next phase.
Aspirants who are willing to submit might select the “freeze” or “float” option. If a candidate wants to upgrade the option in later rounds of counselling, they must select the float option. Candidates who are content with their allocation and do not want to increase their option may choose to freeze.

Candidates must upload their Class 10 certificate as proof of age, their graduate or equivalent mark sheet or undertaking, their CUET PG admission card, their CUET PG score card, their category certificate, and, if necessary, a PwD certificate.

They must pay a charge of Rs 20,000 as a seat acceptance fee in order to secure their assigned seat. If that doesn’t happen, the seat allocation will be terminated.
