IETE Students Day 2025 & Best ISF Award Ceremony Celebrated at VIT-AP University

Amaravati – The IETE Student Forum (ISF) at the School of Electronics Engineering, VIT-AP University, hosted the IETE Students Day 2025 in collaboration with the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Vijayawada Centre. The event took place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM IST, at Newton Hall (AB1), with approximately 150 IETE student members and ISF faculty coordinators from various institutions in attendance.
The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. M. Sucharitha, ISF Faculty Coordinator, who greeted all the guests and ISF coordinators from other institutions.
Dr. Umakanta Nanda, Dean of the School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE) at VIT-AP University, convened the event, reflecting on the remarkable achievements of IETE within the school.
The Chief Guest, Dr. K. Gnaneshwar Rao, Zonal Mentor, IETE South Zone, captivated the audience with an inspiring address, emphasizing the benefits of getting IETE membership and the importance of publishing research papers in the IETE journal.
A key moment of the celebration was the presidential address by Prof. S. V. Kota Reddy, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, who praised the university’s recent achievements and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation and academic excellence.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. B. Surya Prasada Rao, Chairman, IETE Vijayawada Centre presented the significance of IETE Students Day and highlighted benefits of IETE for students professional development.
Dr. Shaik Riyazuddin, Hon. Secretary, IETE Vijayawada Centre highlighted the role of IETE in fostering student engagement and providing valuable opportunities for learning and collaboration.
A special invitee Prof. A. Sarveswara Rao, Governing Council Member, IETE New Delhi also graced the occasion with motivational words and insights into the benefits of IETE.
On this special occasion, the IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the School of Electronics Engineering, VIT-AP University, was honored with the Best ISF Award – 2024 for organizing many impactful events. IETE Vijayawada Centre EC members, Dr. T. Vishnu Priya and Dr. V. Srinivasa Rao, along with ISF coordinators from various institutions also attended the IETE Award Ceremony.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. K. Vara Prasad, Hon. Treasurer, IETE Vijayawada Centre, who acknowledged the contributions of students and organizers in making IETE Students Day 2025 a resounding success.
