To get a pass certificate, students of class 10 must secure at least 35% marks in 5 out of 6 subjects and 33% overall passing marks out of 100 in ICSE. 26 marks out of 80 are required to pass in ICSE.

In external exams/theory exams, students’ performance in a subject is assessed by grades, with grade 1 being the highest and grade 9 being the lowest.
