GPSC Recruitment 2025: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced the Assistant Director Recruitment 2025 under Advertisement No. 108/2024-25. This recruitment drive aims to fill 29 vacancies for the position of Assistant Director of IT, Class-I, in the Science and Technology Department.

The total number of vacancies is 29, distributed as follows:

Please note that there are no reservations for ex-serviceman candidates in this recruitment. However, 2 posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as part of a Special Recruitment Drive. Eligible disabilities include Low Vision (LV) and Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:
   • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Technology, or Information and Communication Technology.
   • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Application or Science (IT) from a recognized university.
2. Experience:
   • At least five years of experience (excluding teaching) in Computer Technology, Communication Technology, Information Technology, or Information and Communication Technology in:
     • Government organizations
     • Municipal Corporations
     • Government undertaking Boards or Corporations
     • Companies established under the Companies Act
   • Half of this experience must be in companies that are CMM Appraised, ISO certified, listed on stock exchanges, or members of recognized industry associations like NASSCOM.
3. Language Proficiency:
   • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
4. Age Limit:
   • Candidates must not be older than 42 years as of the application deadline.
   • Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms:
     • EWS, SEBC, SC, and ST male candidates of Gujarat origin: 5 years (up to 45 years)
     • General category female candidates of Gujarat origin: 5 years (up to 45 years)
     • EWS, SEBC, SC, and ST female candidates of Gujarat origin: 10 years (up to 45 years)
     • Physically Disabled candidates: 10 years (up to 45 years)

GPSC Recruitment 2025 – Application Process

1. Online Application:
   • Visit the official GPSC website: https://gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
   • Register or log in to your account.
   • Fill out the application form with accurate details.
   • Upload the required documents.
   • Submit the application and note down the confirmation number.
2. Application Fee:
   • General category candidates: ₹100 + applicable postal or service charges.
   • Reserved categories, EWS of Gujarat State, Ex-servicemen, and PwD candidates: No fee.
   • Reserved category candidates from other states: ₹100 + applicable charges.

Selection Process for GPSC Recruitment 2025

1. Preliminary Test:
   • General Studies: 100 marks (60 minutes)
   • Concerned Subject: 200 marks (120 minutes)
   • Candidates scoring less than 15% on the Preliminary Test will not be eligible for the interview.
2. Interview:
   • Candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Test will be called for an interview.
3. Final Result:
   • The final result will be published within 10 working days after the last interview date.
