Goa GCET Exams Cancelled: Admissions Through JEE and NEET Scores

The Directorate for Technical Examinations (DTE) Goa has announced the dismissal of (the Goa Common Entrance Test) GCET for the upcoming session 2024-25. The state administration has canceled GCET for BTech and BPharma admissions.
Candidates willing to apply for admission can visit the JEE 2024 official website. They can check eligibility criteria, rules, syllabus, and guidelines as well while visiting the website.
For admissions in pharmacy, DTE will check the scores of Physics and chemistry in both JEE mains 2024 and NEET 2024. These measures were taken by the Goa DTE to simplify and standardize the Goa BTech and BPharm admissions.
Goa BTech/BPharma Admissions 2024
Students who were planning to appear for GCET exams for the academic year 2024-25 are now requested to appear in the JEE MAINS and NEET 2024 for their admissions.
The admissions will proceed further based on the scores of students.
The students opting for BPharma can appear in JEE Mains NEET or even both. The combined highest scores in physics and chemistry will be considered during the admission procedure.
The official public notice has been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Interested students can visit the website at dte.goa.gov.in. The official announcement on the website read, “The joint entrance examination (JEE) main, a national examination, will be used to admit students to engineering degree programs in the state beginning in the 2024-25 academic year”.
Dates for JEE Mains and NEET 2024
Registration for JEE Mains is still under process, so students planning to appear for it can register themselves. Apply yourself at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Following are the important dates for JEE Mains aspirations:
- The last date for online fee payment: is November 30, 2023.
- JEE Mains Admit card: Just 3 days before examination dates.
- JEE Mains exam date for phase 1: January 24 to February 1, 2024.
- Results: February 12, 2024.
And NEET 2024 exam dates are only the speculated dates so students can check this as of now. The following are the important dates for NEET 2024:
- NEET UG 2024, registration for application form begins on the first week of March 2024.
- NEET Admit Card Release date: First week of May 2024.
- NEET 2024 expected Exam Date: May 5, 2024.
- NEET 2024 expected result date: by the second week of June 2024.
