GATE 2024 Registration Deadline Without Late Fee Ends Tomorrow at .iisc.ac.in; Apply Now!

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 registration deadline is October 5. Candidates who are eligible but have not yet submitted an application may do so at gate2024.iisc.ac.in, the official GATE 2024 website.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, which is hosting the entrance test this year, opted to extend the registration deadline without charging a late fee after receiving more than 1,37,000 applications before the original deadline of September 29. However, October 13 is the final day to register with a late charge.
For GATE 2024 registration, candidates from the reserved category and female candidates must pay Rs 900, while applicants from all other categories must pay Rs 1,800.
Students have a variety of payment options, including credit card, debit card, wallet, net banking, EMI, and UPI. According to a post on X, 78 percent of the applicants paid their application fees using UPI. The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will use the GATE 2024 score for the recruitment of executive trainees in six engineering disciplines, including chemical, civil, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, and mechanical, the institute announced on channel X. Beginning on September 30, the GATE 2024 application form will be scrutinized until October 31.
The application forms of candidates who do not meet the requirements for their photo, signature, photo ID, category certificates, etc. will be labelled as “defective.” Students will have the chance to fix the mistakes so that their applications can move ahead for additional review.
Application for GATE 2023: Necessary Important Documents
The following documents must be submitted with the GATE 2023 application:
- a high-quality photo of a candidate that complies with the standards (The file size should range from 200KB to 2KB.)
- A high-quality picture of the candidate’s signature that complies with the required specifications (The file size should range from 2KB to 150KB.)
- Information on the legitimate Identity Document (ID) (The same ID, in original, should be taken to the examination hall).
- Passport, PAN card, voter ID, Aadhaar-UID, college ID, employee ID, and a driver’s licence are all acceptable identity documents.
- Certificate from the head of the department or institute, a provisional certificate, or a degree certificate, in the format described in Appendix A of the information brochure. (The file size should range from 10KB to 300KB.)
- A scanned copy of the category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format, if appropriate (the file size should range from 10KB to 300KB).
- a scanned copy of the PwD certificate in pdf format (the file size should range from 10KB to 300KB).
- a scanned copy of the dyslexia certificate (if applicable) in pdf format, together with the payment information for the fee by net banking, debit card, or credit card.
