GATE 2024: Application Form Expected to Begin on August 30, Know Schedule, Question Paper Pattern Here

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) registration procedure is anticipated to begin on August 30 at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. At gate2024.iisc.ac.in, a link to the GATE 2024 application will be available.

For MTech admission, eligible applicants may register for the GATE 2024 exam, which will be held on February 3, 4, and 11. The exam will be given in two sessions using computer-based testing (CBT): the morning session will run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon session will run from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

GATE 2024: Exam Pattern

The wrong answers will receive a lower grade. A wrong response will result in a deduction of 1/3 of a point for a 1-mark MCQ and 2/3 of a mark for a 2-mark MCQ.

However, there won’t be any disqualification for incorrect responses to NAT or MSQ questions. The table below contains a full breakdown of the GATE 2024 question paper format.

GATE What’s New For 2024

• There are now 30 exam papers instead of 29. This year, a paper on data science and AI was included.
• The GATE exam fee for 2024 has raised from Rs 1700 to Rs 1800.
• There won’t be a testing location outside of India.

Gate 2024: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who hold certifications from these professional societies must make sure that their exams have been recognised as being comparable to B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Planning, etc. by MoE, AICTE, UGC, and UPSC.
• Candidates from nations other than India who have earned or are pursuing their qualifying degree:
• Candidates must be enrolled in their third or higher year of college or have earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, science, architecture, or a related field that took them at least three years to complete.
• Any candidate who meets the aforementioned requirements is qualified to take the GATE 2024 exam.
