According to authorities, a 20-year-old IIT-Hyderabad student allegedly committed suicide by plunging into this area’s water because he was upset about his academic backlog.

According to the authorities, Dhanavath Karthik would have perished in the sea around July 19; his body was found on July 20 with the aid of fisherman.

According to C. M. Trivikram Varma, the police commissioner in Visakhapatnam, “He was unable to focus on his studies and returned.” Investigation revealed that the victim’s mobile was last seen at Visakhapatnam’s Ramakrishna Beach (RK Beach) on July 19, and CCTV footage showed him entering the danger zone of the beach.

Karthik left Hyderabad on July 17 because he was frustrated about not being able to catch up on exam backlogs, the police claim. IIT-Hyderabad officials opened a missing case on July 19 after Karthik was originally discovered missing from his dormitory room on July 17.

It was also discovered, based on preliminary examination, that the student had two backlogs (in two subjects). The tribal student was from Telangana’s Nalgonda district.
