The University of Delhi has begun the DU LLB admission registration process for 2023. The Delhi University has enabled the DU LLB registration page at law.uod.ac.in and uploaded the information booklet days following the Delhi High Court ruling saying that the university can accept students based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-UG 2023) result.
Registration Via CLAT
Through the CLAT score, the institution launched two five-year integrated legal curricula – BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). Despite the fact that the Bar Council of India (BCI) granted 120 seats, 60 for each programme, the decision to admit students using CLAT was challenged in the Delhi High Court.
The petition requested that admissions to the five-year integrated legal programme be handled through the CUET-UG 2023, as they are at other central universities.
However, as the institution Grants Commission (UGC) stated that CUET is not required for professional specialty programmes such as law, engineering, and medical, the court permitted the institution to accept students using CLAT for the 2023-24 academic year.
Candidates must ensure that their options are placed in the order of their preferences before completing the DU LLB application form 2023. Editing the preferences after the deadline will be prohibited.
DU LLB Enrollment and Fees
Following clearance, aspirants must pay Rs 1,90,000 (one lakh ninety thousand only) as confirmation of the assigned seat. Candidates with parental incomes of Rs 4 lakh or less would be eligible for a fee remission of 90% at the time of admission.
Fees would be waived for those whose parental income is higher than Rs 4 lakh but less than Rs 8 lakh. If an applicant withdraws before the last day of admission, the whole money, less Rs 5,000, would be returned.
According to the institution, all accepted students would be paid for the purchase of a laptop or Rs 50,000, whichever is less.
