DGPM Announces Recruitment for 130 Additional Assistant Director (AAD) Posts

The Directorate General of Performance Management (DGPM) invites applications to fill 130 vacancies for the post of Additional Assistant Director (AAD) across various Directorates under CBIC. The tentative vacancies are as follows:

Pay Scale

The scale of pay for the Additional Assistant Director (AAD) post is as follows:

Other allowances such as DA, HRA, TPT, etc., will be admissible as per Central Government rules.

DGPM AAD Age Limit

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation is 56 years as of the last date of receipt of applications (08/04/2025).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications:

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute.
• Experience: Three years of experience in matters related to levy, assessment, and collection of Customs duty, Central Excise duties, Goods and Service Tax (GST), Intelligence and Investigation, enforcement of border control, dispute resolution, and audit of assessments.

Experience

Candidates must have:

• Two years of regular service in a post in Pay Matrix Level – 7 (Rs. 44,900/- to Rs. 1,42,400/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
• Experience in Customs, Central Excise, GST, Intelligence, Investigation, and related fields.

Selection Process

The selection for the Additional Assistant Director (AAD) post will be based on deputation. The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the Government of India, DoP&T OM No. 6/08/2009-Estd. (PAY-II) dated 17.06.2010, as amended from time to time.
