Department of History to organise Conference on the legacy of Central Asia and India

Aligarh : The Centre of Advance Study, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is organising a two day international conference on “Exploring the legacy of Central Asia and India: history, polity, society and culture in global perspective” on February 3-4, 2025.
Prof Hassan Imam, Chairman of the Department informed that the inaugural function will be held on February 3 at Arts Faculty lounge at 10:30 am. Prof Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor, and Prof Mohammad Gulrez will attend it as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The programme will also feature Prof Mushtaque Kaw, former professor, Central University, Kashmir as keynote speaker and Prof Shafey Kidwai, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, AMU.
Prof M. Waseem Raja is the convener of the conference.
