Delhi University Launches MA in Hindu Studies & Two New Postgraduate Courses; Application Period Open Until September 30

On Tuesday, the Delhi University (DU) began the admission process for three new courses: MA in Hindu Studies, Chinese Studies, and PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law. The registration period for the classes will end on September 30th, according to the programme.
According to the university bulletin, the courses mix old Hindu philosophical knowledge with current disciplines such as computer science, informatics, business, and political science. The training will assist students become fluent in Chinese and informed of the most recent cyber advancements.
The seminars will highlight both modern employment objectives and a complete understanding of the Hindu ethos, according to the report.
Master of Arts in Hindu Studies
The postgraduate programme has 60 places available. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply.
- The application fee is Rs 8,960 for UR, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST applicants.
- The cost for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is Rs 2,240.
- Category unreserved: 24 seats 9 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes.
- 5 seats for ST (Scheduled Tribe).
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 16 seats 6 seats are reserved for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections).

Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law
Candidates will be admitted based on the percentage of marks received in the qualifying degree examination. Graduates with degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Software Development, Computer Engineering, or a related field are eligible to apply. The programme has a total of 64 places available.

Master of Arts in Chinese Studies
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution with at least 50% marks, as well as a one-year (full-time) PG Intensive Advanced Diploma Course in Chinese from the institution of Delhi or a UGC-recognized university. There are 49 seats available for the programme, which are divided into the following categories:
- General category: 19 seats
- SC (Scheduled Caste): 7 seats
- ST (Scheduled Tribe): 4 seats
- OBC (Other Backward Classes): 13 seats
- EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 6 seats
