Delhi University Admissions 2022: More than 1,000 Applications Received During the mid-entry window

DU Admissions 2022: Admissions to Delhi University are now ongoing. More than 1,000 applications were received by Delhi University under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) mid-entry window. Through mid-entry, DU Admissions allows any applicants who either did not apply to CSAS Phase I or did not finish Phase II to participate in the third round of CSAS.
Candidates were able to apply for admission from November 5 to November 7, and it said that the third round of seat distribution will begin on November 10. According to university authorities, “Following the second round of seat distribution, 30,662 students chose to freeze their seats, while 23,139 chose to upgrade. Delhi University is offering a total of 70,000 undergraduate seats this year. Over 60,000 seats have already been filled by pupils.”
“After the second round, 30,662 students have lost their seats while 23,139 students have opted for upgradation. Moreover, we have received 1,008 applications through the mid-entry window,” dean (admissions) Haneet Gandhi said, as reported by Hindustan Times.
DU announced the list of vacant seats on November 4 after concluding the second round of seat allocations, with certain seats in numerous institutions, including prominent universities, remaining unreserved. This academic year, Delhi University is admitting students based on their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. Until this year, DU admissions were based only on a student’s Class 12 performance.
