What Is CTET?
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the CTET, a nationwide eligibility test. To determine candidates’ eligibility for appointment as teachers in Central Government Schools like KVS, NVS, and others, the CTET exam is held annually.
The CTET exam has been administered online by the CBSE since January 2021 in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
However, the CTET exam in August 2023 will be administered offline using pen and paper. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1–5 (Primary Teachers) should take CTET Paper 1, whereas candidates who want to teach Classes 6–8 (Elementary Teachers) should take CTET Paper 2.
Candidates must take both exams if they want to teach Classes 1–8. The CTET test has been offered 16 times by the CBSE until date.
