CNCI Kolkata Nursing Officer Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following criteria:

1. General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) plus Diploma in Oncology Nursing, OR
2. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council-recognized institute/university, OR
3. B.Sc. (Post-certificate) / B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council-recognized institute/university, OR
4. Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council-recognized institute/board with 2 years’ experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after completing the diploma.

Additionally, candidates must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Age relaxation applies as per Central Government rules:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service plus 3 years

Application Fees

• General/OBC Candidates: ₹3000/-
• SC/ST/EWS Candidates: ₹2400/-
• PwBD Candidates: Exempted from fee

Exam Pattern for CNCI Kolkata Nursing Officer Recruitment 2025

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. NORCET Preliminary Exam (Online CBT)

   • Duration: 90 minutes
   • Questions: 100 MCQs (20 GK & Aptitude, 80 Nursing-related)
   • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deduction for each wrong answer
   • Qualifying Marks:
     • UR/EWS: 50 percentile

     • SC/ST: 40 percentile
     • PwBD: 5 percentile relaxation
   • Shortlisting for Stage II: 5 times the total number of vacancies
2. NORCET Mains Exam (Online CBT)

   • Questions: 160 MCQs (Nursing-related, case-based questions)

   • Final Merit List: Based on NORCET Mains score
