CERC Recruitment 2025 – Vacancy Details
- Post: Advisor (Engg.)
- Number of Vacancies: 1
- Location: Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, New Delhi
- Type of Engagement: Contractual
- Duration: Initially for 2 years (extendable up to a maximum of 4 years based on performance)
- Age Limit: Below 62 years (not retained beyond 65 years)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from a reputed institution or university.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of working experience in the power sector.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the electricity sector of India.
Salary & Benefits for CERC Recruitment 2025
- Monthly Remuneration: ₹2,50,000 per month (excluding applicable taxes).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Leave Entitlement: 15 days per year (not encashable or carried forward).
- Travel Allowance:
- By Air: Economy Class
- By Train: AC II Tier
- Local Travel: Non-AC Taxi

Selection Process for CERC Recruitment 2025
- Screening & Shortlisting: Based on academic background, experience, and knowledge of electricity regulations.
- Evaluation by the Consultancy Evaluation Committee (CEC): Shortlisted candidates will be scored on a set of evaluation criteria.
- Final Selection: The top three scorers will be presented to the Chairperson, CERC, who will make the final decision.
