CBSE requests schools to maintain LOC and registration information ready for board exams 2024
For the academic year 2023–2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has requested that schools maintain the data prepared for the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11 as well as the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes 10 and 12.
The board informed the schools in advance that registration and LOC submission for the board exams in 2024 will soon commence.
In order for schools to complete the registration and list submission procedure “correctly” and within the allotted time frame, the board requested that schools complete all the tasks associated with online registration and LOC submission.
CBSE said in an official notice, “It is informed that CBSE will soon start the online process for registration of students in Classes 9 and 11 and submission of the List of Candidates (LoC) for classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24.”
In order to prevent difficulty for both themselves and the students, CBSE further instructed schools to gather accurate information about the students and the subjects provided.
CBSE’s directions came after the board observed that schools are not registering or entering candidate’s data in the LOC on time and requesting the board to accept the students beyond the time schedule.
The board further, said, “This jeopardizes and hampers the subsequent activities related to the conduct of examinations and declaration of results.”
“This prior intimation is given to the schools to keep the data ready first for LOC and thereafter registration so that schools could complete all activities on time,” CBSE stated.
