CAT 2023 Registration begins tomorrow: how to fill the application form

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is about to begin the CAT  registration tomorrow august 1, 2023. The portal for CAT 2023 will be available for the students by 10 AM on 2^nd august. The application form can be filled in at the official website of CAT- iimcat.ac.in.

This time IIM Lucknow will be conducting the exam of which the notification was released by the IIM Lucknow on July 30. Which stated the eligibility criteria for the exam besides registration dates, application fee, exam dates, and more.

THE LAST DATE TO FILL THE APPLICATION FORM IS SEPTEMBER 13. After which candidates will have no chance to register to the CAT examination. The students must fill the application form before time to avoid any kind of inconvenience cause in the end moment.

The CAT examination, 2023 will be conducted on November 26 according to the notification released by the IIM Lucknow. The students have been given sufficient time to revise and recall the subject.

About the admit card and the exam

The admit card for the CAT exam will be issued on October 25, the students are suggested to keep a track on the important dates of the examination to avoid any kind of inconvenience. The test will be conducted in an online mode. The CAT Exam 2023 will be conducted in three shifts, it will be a computer-based test (CBT)

Before applying for CAT 2023 students must read the CAT notification issued by IIM Lucknow on July 30, where the eligibility criteria have been mentioned.

• A student must be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university or college. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks.
• There is no age limitation for applying in CAT examination 2023.
• The students appearing for the last year bachelor’s degree or have appeared and are waiting for the results of last year can also apply for CAT 2023. In such cases the students will have to produce the credentials stating that they completed all the formalities for the last year bachelor’s degree.

Step by step process to register for CAT 2023

Registration –

• go to the IIM CAT official website- iimcat.ac.in 2023.
• Tap on New Candidate Registration for CAT 2023, on the homepage.

      Enter the required details.

• Enter the OTP sent to the given mobile number to generate login credentials.

Fill in application form –

• Tap on Registered Candidate login for CAT 2023
• login using the credentials created.
• Provide the personal, academic details, work experience, programmes required in the application form.
• Students will have to select six exam cities preferred.
• Sections with  “*” (asterisk) are mandatory fields and the fields marked with this symbol must be filled in or you will not be able to submit the CAT form 2023.
• Make payment –
• Students must pay the registration fee through online mode.
• The CAT registration 2023 fee for SC, ST, PwD category candidates is Rs 1,200 and fee for general category is Rs 2,400

Upload documents –

• Scanned passport size photograph (1200 pixels x 1200 pixels) in jpg or jpeg format. The file size should not be more than 80 KB.
• The signature should be 80mm X 35mm in dimensions .

• date of birth certificate,
•  proof of residence,
• Class 10 and 12 marksheet,
• graduation certificates,
• final year certificate (for final year graduation students),
•  valid ID proof,
•  work experience documents,
• caste and PWD certificate if applicable.

Submit application –

• After the completion of the application form, Review the courses and colleges filled, check the details provided, thoroughly go through the application form to avoid any mistakes made in the same. After reviewing submit the form. A confirmation email will be received in the given email address. Students are suggested to save the application confirmation page for future use.
