Today at 5 PM, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will close the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 application period. Candidates may register for the CAT 2023 at iimcat.ac.in, the official website.

Candidates for the CAT 2023 must have earned a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of the required marks. Students who fall under the SC, ST, and PWD categories are offered a five percent exemption on the required minimum marks.

Students in their last year of undergrad are also able to apply for the CAT 2023. On November 26, three shifts of the CAT 2023 will be held at the IIM Lucknow. The scores will be valid for the academic year 2024–2025 when the results are announced in mid–January.

CAT 2023: Calculating Percentiles

  • To get their overall and sectional percentile scores for the CAT 2023, candidates can use the processes below.
  • Determine the total number of applicants (N), including those who participated in the morning, afternoon, and evening sessions of the CAT.
  • Give each applicant who took the CAT a rank (r) based on the scaled scores they received in the QA portion.
  • Assign the same rankings to all applicants who received the same scaled score on the QA part, if there are two or more.
  • Calculate a candidate’s percentile score (P) for the QA section as follows: P = (N r) x 100 N
  • The derived percentile score (P) of a candidate should be rounded off to the nearest two digits.

For admission to 21 IIMs throughout the nation, the IIM Lucknow is hosting the CAT 2023. Several other prestigious B-schools, including the Faculty of Management Studies at Delhi University, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), also employ the exam score.
