CAT 2023: Calculating Percentiles
- To get their overall and sectional percentile scores for the CAT 2023, candidates can use the processes below.
- Determine the total number of applicants (N), including those who participated in the morning, afternoon, and evening sessions of the CAT.
- Give each applicant who took the CAT a rank (r) based on the scaled scores they received in the QA portion.
- Assign the same rankings to all applicants who received the same scaled score on the QA part, if there are two or more.
- Calculate a candidate’s percentile score (P) for the QA section as follows: P = (N r) x 100 N
- The derived percentile score (P) of a candidate should be rounded off to the nearest two digits.
For admission to 21 IIMs throughout the nation, the IIM Lucknow is hosting the CAT 2023. Several other prestigious B-schools, including the Faculty of Management Studies at Delhi University, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), also employ the exam score.
