CA Intermediate Exam Under New Scheme To Be Held in 2024, Check How Here

In accordance with the New Scheme of Education and Training, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has published a notification on its official website, icai.org, outlining exemptions from taking the CA Intermediate and CA Final exams. For the May 2024 ICAI CA test, exemptions will be valid.
The institute states that it will exempt current students who have already passed the required papers under the previous system from taking the CA Intermediate and CA Final exams under the new syllabus.
According to a statement released by the ICAI, “For the Final CA exams, the council has decided to continue awarding exemption in a paper or papers to a candidate, granted earlier under the old, existing scheme, for the unexpired chance(s) of the exemption in the corresponding paper(s) approved by the council under the new scheme.”

The council added, “Under the existing scheme, a candidate who passes in any one but not both groups of the Final Examination shall be eligible for exemption in that particular group and shall be required to appear and pass in the remaining group or paper(s) in order to pass the CA final test under the new system.
The council agreed to continue awarding exemption in a paper or papers to a candidate for the CA intermediate exam for the unused chances of exemption in the corresponding paper(s) allowed by the council under the new scheme. This exemption was previously provided under the old scheme.

CA Intermediate Examination, November 2023:
The CA Intermediate exam is offered twice a year by ICAI: in May/June and again in November/December. The ICAI has published the exam schedule for the November 2023 CA Intermediate exams. The tests will be given in offline mode between November 02 and November 17, 2023, at 256 Indian and 6 international centres.
