The placement results for the class of 2023 in the flagship management programmes offered by the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) have been released. According to a formal announcement, the class has a 100% placement record, with the highest income received by a student coming in at Rs 23.43 lakh annually. According to the press release, the institute also saw a 20% boost in average salaries this year compared to the prior batches.

Results for the four regular programmes offered by BIMTECH—PGDM, PGDM International Business, PGDM Retail Management, and PGDM Insurance Business Management—are displayed in the placement record. Additionally, with 36% and 24% of all job offers, respectively, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and Consulting emerged as the top two recruitment industries.

According to further data, between 60% and 70% of BIMTECH graduates were hired throughout the BFSI, IT, and consulting sectors. The manufacturing, FMCG/CD, and retail industries came next, accounting for about 20–25% of the offers. Additionally, the announcement noted that Fintech/Insurtech and IT businesses including Digit, Zopper, and Darwin Box had increased their hiring of recruiters.

Placement has been a significant component of the BIMTECH heritage, along with high-quality education, rankings, and top accreditations. It is easy to see that average packages are constantly rising. Comparing the batch of 2019–21 to the batch of 2018–20, an increase of 16% was noted. Similar to the preceding batches, the 2020–22 batch and the 2021–23 batch also experienced increases of 18% and 20%, respectively. When determining whether a business school is worthwhile, a rise in average packages should be taken into account, according to H Chaturvedi, director of BIMTECH.

To develop applicants’ hard skills, experience, and competency, BIMTECH has incorporated technology abilities like Python, Spark, SPSS, and Alteryx into its programme. Business Vertical Specializations like Analytics, BFSI, IT and ITeS, and Digital Business have been introduced to be studied alongside the functional specialisation in order to further improve student diversity, match the skill expectations of recruiters, and prepare tech-savvy talent to serve sectorial demand.
