Bar Council OF India desk: AIBE 18 registration to begin from next month, eligibility criteria & more;

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 18 exam registration is anticipated to begin next month, according to the Bar Council of India (BCI) assistance desk. The official website, allindiabarexamination.com, will host the AIBE XVIII registration form 2023.
Also soon, BCI will reveal the 2023 date for the AIBE 18 exam. The application form must be completed, supporting documentation must be uploaded, and an application fee must be paid. BCI will publish the admission card and crucial instructions for candidates on the official website following the end of the registration procedure.
AIBE exam
AIBE exam is conducted in an offline mode in 50 cities across the country. While filling the application form, candidates will be able to choose any three exam centres of their choice. The question paper will include 100 multiple choice questions based on the syllabus prescribed by BCI. The exam will be held for law graduates to get the Certificate of Practice (CoP) to practice law.

The Bar Council of India weighed and approved the All India Bar Examination at its meeting on 30 April 2010, and decided that all law students graduating in the academic year 2009–2010 and later must pass the exam. Candidates may only apply to take the examination after becoming enrolled as solicitors under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961.

Eligibilty Criteria for AIBE 18
For candidates to be eligible for the exam, the BCI has established the following requirements:
- Candidates must hold a graduate degree in law (LLB, 3-year or 5-year) from a school approved by the Indian Bar Council.
- There is no upper age limit to take the AIBE exam.
- Law school grads need a current enrollment certificate. Within two years of enrolling at any of the state bar councils, they must pass the AIBE exam.
- AIBE 17 results 2023 were declared on April 28. The BCI withheld the results of candidates who appeared in Rajkot exam centres over use of unfair means.
