Assam NEET PG Counselling 2023: Registration for Round 3 Ends tomorrow; Check Revised Schedule Here

Tomorrow, September 28, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam will end the registration period for the third round of Assam NEET PG counselling 2023. On the official website, dme.assam.gov.in, eligible applicants can apply for state National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling.
“It is to be noted that candidates who joined up to round 3 of AIQ or state quota shall not be eligible to participate in further rounds of All India Quota or for state quota,” DME Assam stated in a formal statement. The online choice-filling will start on September 30 and end on October 1 for this round. On October 1st, choice-locking will be accessible from 4 pm to 11:55 pm.
There is no need to register again for candidates who have already registered and taken part in rounds 1 and 2 of state counselling. Such applicants will need to fill out an online selection form for a new allocation or college change.

Counselling Process of Assam MBBS/BDS 2023
As was previously established, there will be two steps to the Assam NEET 2023 counselling procedure. Some of the main facets of the DME Assam MBBS/BDS counselling procedure for 2023 are listed below:
- To be eligible for Assam NEET 2023 counselling, one must pass the NEET test in 2023.
- Based on the candidates’ NEET 2023 scores, DME, Assam, would publish a merit list with their names on it. These applicants will be qualified to continue the counselling procedure.
- An application fee of Rs. 500 is required for counselling. The application fees are the same for all applicant types.
- According to applicants’ NEET scorecards, preferences, and seat availability, seats would be allocated to them.
- Candidates must appear in person at the appropriate college on the stated date and time, with the necessary paperwork.

During the counselling procedure, candidates are required to provide the following documents. They are encouraged to bring both the original papers and photocopies that have undergone self-attestation.
- Completed application form
- HSLC admit card/equivalent
- Permanent Residence Certificate
- Class 12th mark sheet

- Caste certificate (if applicable)

Assam NEET 2023 Counselling: Qualifying Requirements
Candidates must meet specific qualifying requirements in order to take part in the Assam NEET counselling in 2023. The following requirements must be met in order to participate in the process.
- The candidate must be an Assamese citizen.
- The parents of the candidate must have lived in Assam for at least 20 years.
- Candidates must have successfully finished their 10+2 course work with a minimum of 60% in biology, physics, and chemistry. Candidates who fall under the SC, ST, or OBC categories are given a 10% mark relaxation.
- The candidate must have achieved NEET 2023 eligibility.
