ARCH College Hosts Workshop on Fire Safety and Sustainable HVAC Systems

Jaipur: ARCH College of Design and Business hosted an intensive four-hour workshop focused on fire safety legislation and sustainable HVAC systems. The event brought together renowned industry experts, including Ravi Kumawat and Ganpat Chaudhary from the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) and Nitin Kalra from the Indian Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineering (ISHRAE). The session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge to create safer and environmentally sustainable designs.

The workshop provided an in-depth understanding of fire regulations, highlighting the significance of the National Building Code’s (NBC) safety frameworks for effective planning and implementation. Participants also gained insights into advanced firefighting systems, addressing the importance of safety measures in the context of modern architectural and interior design projects.

Another key focus of the session was on sustainable HVAC technologies. The experts introduced participants to energy-efficient systems such as Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology and innovative heat vents that repurpose energy from air conditioners to create heating ventilators. The discussions emphasized practical ways to reduce energy consumption, paving the way for designs that contribute to a zero-carbon future.
